11-4-05 A good online lab to use is MPIX. Run by Miller's Professional Imaging, this is the consumer side of their business. Prints are made on the same equipment, with the same staff, trained in the same manner as the pro side. The prices are very good as well, you can expect to pay the same amount of money for an 8x10 as you would at Sam's Club, but with much more professional results. Shipping is as low as flat-rate $5 per order.

11-4-05 If you're interested in selling stock photography, Photographer's Direct is a good way to go. They offer free stock photo referrals with low fees if a transaction is completed. It's a great way to sell your images!

11-16-05NY Web Photo School (not affiliated with NYIP) has some great photography tutorials on their website. You can learn about lighting, how to set up a basic studio portrait, and more. Not bad for free!

2-8-06 This tip came from Roy Dankman, who was the judge at our February 2006 meeting. After his critiques, he showed us a wonderful way for burning/dodging without using the burn/dodge tool!

Thanks go out to Roy Dankman for this wonderful tip!
